Ali Ranney

Yoga has been a big part of Alison's life for over 12 years. As an avid long distance runner & fitness enthusiast, Alison discovered the joy & deep physical benefits yoga has brought to her trainings & workouts. Alison also continues to seek the mind, body & spiritual growth yoga keeps bringing to her life.

Alison completed her RYT 200 hour training through yoga alliance in 2016. Her focus is on Vinyasa & she brings a playful creative element to her classes. Balance & strength are key components Alison likes to offer to her students along with an eclectic mix of music. Alison also holds a Barre training certification through Barre Above.

When Alison is not on the mat, she is running around town with her two little boys, at the beach or enjoying a big glass of wine with her husband

Amanda Duncan

After almost a decade of teaching yoga and meditation, Amanda's students have infused in her a deep appreciation for each person’s uniqueness, and how each one of us comes to the practice with our own complicated and intricate needs. Amanda enjoys fusing the best elements of hatha, yin, ashtanga, and restorative yoga so that each time you step on the mat, you get what you need. All students and all abilities always welcome.

Jamie Argento

Jamie embraces the mantra that yoga is a journey, not a destination. She believes that every time we step onto the mat, every time we move through the asanas, and every time we breathe we have an opportunity to start anew. As a former Division I athlete, runner, and sports enthusiast, she values the balance and harmony between the physical strength and mindful peace that yoga cultivates. Her classes are soulful and energetic while providing students with opportunities to center and focus internally.

Jamie completed her RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance and is certified by Sytera Yoga in the Nadi Ball method. She loves to explore the many styles of yoga and you will often find her practicing in the studio. She welcomes people of all experiences and levels to join her classes. When not on the mat, you may find Jamie cheering for her college and high school-age children at soccer matches, volunteering in her community, dancing at Zumba classes, and working as a public defender.

Tiffany Bishop

Tiffany is a lifelong dancer who was introduced to Ashtanga yoga by a university dance professor. Decades later, she is still practicing, and a move to London gave her the opportunity to turn her interest into a career. She is certified as a children's yoga teacher from Karma Kids Yoga in New York and YogaBugs in the United Kingdom.

In 2016, she embarked on the life-changing journey of studying with Jamie Clarke, Dulce Aguilar, and The Yoga People, where she received her 200-hour teacher training certification in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket Yoga. She has since added Mandala Vinyasa, Yin, and Nadi Ball Method classes to her repertoire.

Her classes are athletic and energetic, embracing the transformative nature of yoga, breath-work, and meditation. Off the mat, Tiffany enjoys reading, dancing, and spending time with her daughter.

Deanna Busteed

Deanna Busteed is a registered dietitian, sports dietitian, and yoga and Pilates instructor. She is a fan of food, fitness, mindfulness, and cooking. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the fitness and wellness world. Deanna loves teaching mindfulness, movement, and yoga to kids, tweens, teens, and adults! She is a trauma-informed yoga instructor, which ensures a safe space for anyone and everyone to practice.

Yvette Carlucci

Yvette Carlucci (E-RYT-500) took her first yoga class as a freshman in college. Over the years, the inspiration to return to the mat came from the internal transformation that began in that first class, and that inspiration continues to this day. Through the years yoga has provided an antidote to the rigors of long distance running and to the stressors of every day living, proving transformative both on and off the mat. Yvette received her 200-hour RYT in 2008 and in 2012 completed her 500-hour RYT training.

As an instructor, Yvette loves to share her enthusiasm for yoga and strives to provide her students a safe space to explore and grow, perhaps even to fall. In all of her classes, Yvette encourages her students to listen to the teacher within, to explore the transformative effects of the breath, and to be open to change in the body, mind and spirit.

Meg Artley

I was fortunate to have a physician recommend Hatha Yoga to me over 10 years ago as a way to navigate a chronic illness. Since then, my practice has not only brought me healing; it has also brought me joy, community, and a deeper sense of purpose and service.

I teach from the sense of connection to my true self, to others, and to the community. I believe that yoga is for everybody and every body.

Sytera Field

For more than 20 years, Sytera has helped thousands of students, from elite athletes to desk-job workers, realize the life-changing physical and mental benefits of healthy movement. As a biomechanics expert, Sytera trains massage therapists, yoga teachers, physical therapists, chiropractors, and personal trainers. Sytera developed the Nadi Ball Method® for stress reduction, pain relief, and increased mobility. The method integrates the use of massage balls into movement, stretching, and strengthening. In a feature on the Nadi Ball Method in January 2020, Northern Virginia Magazine explained, “The balls work into the fascia lines, creating openness and encouraging correct alignment, and students can feel how sensations are connected throughout the body.” Through her easy-to-access instruction of the complexities of movement, Sytera’s students begin to understand where they hold stress and tension. Because they can feel the difference in their own bodies immediately, her students often use the word “magic” when describing her Nadi Method to their families and friends. The key to sustainable wellbeing is to challenge your body to stretch toward your goals without overwhelming your system. You “bend but don’t break.” Sytera’s highly individualized training analyzes your movement and postural patterns in order to help you achieve unrestricted movement. The result is feeling clear and energized, feeling engaged in life instead of depleted by it. Sytera’s goal is to bring a creative and uplifting spirit to each session to help you meet your unique wellness goals and bring out the best of what is uniquely you. Sytera’s corporate clients include Mars Inc., the Discovery Channel, PartnerMD, Share Our Strength, and many others. She has partnerships with the National Spinal Health Foundation, United Wellness and Sports Rehab, and Inova Wellness.
